The Digital Branch

This week is, in part, about mobile technology in libraries and it got me thinking about my library’s “Digital Branch.”  Having (shamefully) never used it before, I decided to download and e-book to try it out.  I already have a Kindle, so I didn’t need to download any software, and the process was really easy.

Our patrons can simply click on a title and then “Borrow,” and the next time their device connects to the internet, their book is available.  I “checked out” Terry Pratchett’s The Long War

Looking at out statistics, our library system has already “loaned” over 33,000 e-books!Pretty cool!
